Itinerary Update

November 11 & 12 - Napier

November 13 - Magic Bus to Mt. Manganui for one night.
(not much to do there if you don't surf or want to hang out at the beech. Too far away from White Island - one of the world's premier dive sites around a volcanic island.)

November 14 - Magic Bus to Auckland.

Auckland November 14 through 18.

November 19 - Magic Bus to Paihia (north).

November 20 - Dive the Rainbow Warrior wreck.

November 21 - One-day tour to Cape Reinga - the farthest northern point in New Zealand. Where the Tasman Sea meets the Pacific Ocean.

November 22 - Magic Bus back to Auckland.

Nov. 24 - Magic Bus to Whitianga ("Fit-ee-AYNG-ah") - The Coromandel Peninsula.

Nov. 25 - Whitianga to Waitomo (The Glow Caves)

Nov. 27 - Waitomo to Rotorua
Tongariro Crossing - described as one of the best one-day walks in New Zealand.

Dec. 1 - On to Taupo - possible lake dive; possible airplane ride around the peaks.

Dec. 5 - Taupo to Wellington. Ferry to Picton that evening.

Dec. 6 - Picton to Nelson

Dec. 7 - Day trip to Marahau and the Abel Tasman National Park.

Dec. 8 - Nelson to Greymouth - Supposed to be a boring town, but it does have the Monteith's Brewery.

Dec. 9 - Greymouth to Franz Joseph - 4 1/2 days here, exploring the Franz Joseph glacier & Fox glacier. Possible airplane or copter ride around these peaks.

Dec. 14 - Franz Joseph to Wanaka.

Dec. 16 - Franz Joseph to Queenstown - and a tour of the Milford Sound on Dec. 18. Possible kayak adventure. Possible airplane or copter flight.

Dec. 20 - Queenstown to Dunedin - Speight's Brewery & Cadbury Chocolate Factory. What a combo!

Dec. 24 - Dunedin to Lake Tekapo. A Christmas Eve to remember. There's an observatory there, so I can look for Santa.

Dec. 27 - Lake Tekapo to Christchurch.

December 29 - fly to Auckland.

December 30 - fly to Sydney for New Year's Eve fireworks!

January 1 - January 11 - Visit the Blue Mountains and the Snowy Mountains. Possible climb or gondola (cheating!) to the top of Mt. Kosciuzko.

January 11/12 - Sydney to Honolulu, Honolulu to The Big Island of Hawaii. Dive off Kona Beach and explore the Volcano National Park.

January 15/16 - Kona, Hawaii to Los Angeles.

January 19 - L.A. to Denver, arriving 4:10 pm. Home again, home again, jigetty-jig.
