The "tent" was quite comfortable, and the Mara river made a bend just to the right of and well below my front door. I hope these give you an idea of what it was like. The hippos tended to wake up at 5:30, whereas we humans were given a wake-up at 6 am. I usually slept through the hippo alarm.
